Galaxy Ring powers off after ~90 minutes, repair ticket cancelled, told not repairable

My Galaxy Ring powers off after about 90 minutes, regardless of whether I’m actively using it. It is effectively unusable.

I contacted Samsung Canada support and was directed to send it in for repair. I did that, but the repair ticket was cancelled by the service center. Samsung chat then directed me to call FutureTel. FutureTel told me the Galaxy Ring is not repairable and that they were not proceeding with a quote because it would be approximately the cost of the ring. I escalated through Samsung Canada’s “Email the CEO” process and was offered a 10% discount on a future Samsung purchase which did nothing to remedy the issue.

I've noticed that there are quite a few of these battery issues in the forum. Instead of asking if anyone else has this issue, now I'm wondering has anyone successfully had their device fixed or repaired?

Hi @mikolpikol, Welcome to the Samsung Community, I can understand your frustration with your Galaxy Ring only having a short battery life. I would absolutely be frustrated too. This forum is for the support of US products and customers. As your product is a non-US model and support for these models are very limited, please seek a support team for your area.

I am providing a direct link to the Samsung Canada support page.

Hi @userlJFbMBG0PH thank you for reaching out to the Samsung Community. I hate to hear you are having trouble with your ring. Is this still an ongoing problem? Is it disconnecting or is it powering off completely? Are you a US customer? Please let me know, and I may be able to assist further.

Yes, unfortunately this still happens. The device completely powers off. I am a Canadian customer. If you can point me towards the Canadian equivalent of this forum I'll be happy to repost my issue there
