Keyboard Microphone Button/Voice To Text

The microphone button has vanished from the keyboard buttons. I've seen the solution of putting it on the navigation bar. I want to know how to put it back on the keyboard buttons. I use my phone one-handed very often, and it's easier to have it placed at the top of the keyboard to the right where I can push the button. I haven't seen anyone able to tell me how to put it back up there instead of on the navigation bar, which is supposed to be for navigating my phone, not for keyboard input. Can anyone help me?

Unfortunately ,
you can't with the Samsung Keyboard.
You need to get Keyboard Apps like SwiftKey or GBoard for that.

I've followed all steps to replace mic on lower left navigation but mic still isn't showing as of today 9/4 11 am cst

Same issue, mine was there magically disappeared followed steps, why won't it cone back atgh and I don't need an app, never have, it's listed right on Samsung keyboard

You can add it back through your phone settings, not the Samsung keyboard settings:

What do you mean, "not accepted"? The answer is "no". I cannot have the microphone back on the keyboard. The answer "no" is correct for my question. Yes, the samsung microphone exists still, but not where I want it to be.

Have you tried side-loading an older version? None of us seem to know exactly when an update removed it, but this site has APKs that would allow you to rollback the app...

In the Samsung keyboard settings you can go to "Swipe, touch, and feedback" option and change "Touch and hold space bar" to Voice Input. Then in the first page of the keyboard settings you can also change if you want to use Samsung or Google in the "Voice Input" setting.

Thankyou for saving me a lot of time. I uninstalled GBoard because the microphone icon disappeared. Before reinstalling GBoard, I decided to give the standard Samsung keyboard a try, after not using it for a couple of years. To my dismay, the microphone had been moved to the lower left of the keyboard! Does anyone know the LOGIC/REASONING for moving it to the gutter/basement like this? I tried using it a few minutes ago while driving with the phone mounted. The stupid microphone icon was hidden behind my steering wheel!

After posting this message, I'm going cross my fingers and hope the reinstallation of GBoard will have the microphone icon on the upper right of the keyboard, as it has been for the past several years.

Thanks again for letting us know that the Samsung microphone icon CAN NOT BE MOVED from the lower left. A pity. I'll check back in another year to see if the designers have adopted a more customer friendly approach with the microphone icon. -Allen in Chicago
