I used to get a number for how many notifications I had. That used to be one of the first things I would look at when I got up just to know what was ahead. Is there a way to get that back?

Should still be there i dint think I have seen anyone number at top of the notifications tho just the icon symbol thing have you cleared the phone cache after getting ui7

I remember it would tell me I had like 20 notifications maybe on the AOD. No, I don't know anything about how to clear the phone cache. Can you please tell me how?

Turn OFF your phone and remove any charging cables

Press and hold the Volume UP and POWER buttons at the same time

Hold these buttons until the Android Recovery Menu appears.

Press the Volume DOWN button to highlight wipe cache partition

Press the POWER button to select it

Press the Volume DOWN button to highlight Yes and press the POWER button to select it

After the Cache Wipe is complete, menu items will reappear, with Reboot system now highlighted

Press the POWER button to select it

Never used aod so maybe why i never saw numbers with notifications

Wow, I have never heard of doing that. I will after I get through the rest of my notifications & charge my phone above 50%. I will let you know tomorrow. Thanks for the information

I have used the AOD and I have never seen a number for how many notifications I have. I have seen icons for the different apps for which I had a notification, but never a set of digits. Anyway, notifications are handled differently in Android 15/OneUI7.

@meself I cleared the cache and I still don't have the number to tell me how many notifications I have. I just remember that I would pick up my phone in the mornings and throughout the day and see the number. Thank you for trying to help me with it 😊

I don't remember how I got it or if it was just there when I got my phone new in 2021. I still had the numbers on each app icon. Everything is so different after the last update and I'm not liking it very much but I guess we just have to live with what they want to do with our phones. I'm just not a fan of changes especially when it's a lot at one time.

This feature was removed in OneUI 7. My old phone (OneUI 4.1) still has this setting, but OneUI 7 only gives you the options for a dot (which disappears after you open the notification panel), a list of three icons, or an empty space.
