USB storage not being recognized

Why is my USB storage not being recognized and why cant i access my storage pics? I need access and says device is not supported try formatting🤔 Like? Also still not able to upload to U8i fr. DO I NEED to Get a Lawyer?

My reader has lights and takes a micro SD. I payed 100.00 for that SD card and it used to work

Have you tried it on other devices? Was it encrypted? Are you using it on the original device you connected it to to copy/move data? Have you tried another reader?

Yes it was encrypted and does work on other devices

Just because it used to work, does not mean it works now. Cards, hard drives, flash drives all are subject to failure. If you formatted the card on a newer device, it may be in the wrong format for your model phone. Newer devices use a different file system, which may make cards formatted on those devices incompatible with older devices.

However, that being said, if it is working on other devices, perhaps autoblocker got turned on. Go to Settings/security and privacy and check to see if auto blocker is on or off. Make sure it is off, or you won't be able to see or transfer data via the USB port.

Decrypt it on the device you encrypted it on then try again. If that works, you can choose to leave it unencrypted or make sure the same credentials are on all the devices you intend to use it on. Disabling Auto Blocker (if you have it on) as mentioned @nullandvoid could help but start by decrypting it to test.

Put it on the device it was originally encrypted on and select the locked key or an option menu then remove encryption or decrypt. I am not sure how your interface looks on your device. You can search the internet for step-by-step guide with device specific information.

Still does not mean the card did not go bad. That's what happens. Things work one minute and not the next. Ever had a light bulb blow out?

You stated that you encrypted the card. If you can access it on another device, decrypt it on one of those devices or transfer the data on the card to the device and then add it back to another card and reformat the card.
