I just read this article. The Samsung's Messaging app is making a comeback in a huge and exciting way. If this story is true, the Samsung Messages app will rival the Google Messages app. I am excited to see RCS messaging functionality, the ability to respond to messages with emoji's, and the capability to see when recipients have read your texts are going to be incorporated into the app which already features a trash folder to retrieve deleted apps, and the theme integration feature. It will make the Samsung Messages app far superior to any of the messaging apps that are offered.

I just wish some of these features could somehow be offered to Galaxy users as a preview of what is to come. Hopefully, Samsung could consider releasing some of the features to the message app in the One UI 7.1 update. That would require getting any of the kinks out beforehand. It would be awesome though.

That trash folder feature and the theme integration feature is why I prefer using the app.

also samsung message has 1 huge disadvantage: no web version support, google message has https://messages.google.com/web/ simply login to my gmail account then i can send/receive all my SMS/RCS messages directly from my laptop browser which is nice

That function may be in the new Samsung Messages app, too. When the release of the One UI 8 beta version is released, more information will become available.

I'm excited, My only problem is the s25 didn't get the new samsung message app with one ui7, I see it on all the older phones but not the new phones which sucks to me

I am sure that once Samsung updates the app in the One UI 8 software update, it will become available to all Samsung users. I, myself, still have the Samsung Messages app on my S22+. But it is not working correctly, so I had to switch to Google Messages.

Some of my contact's messages will not sow up in the Samsung Message app. When a recipient replies, the message will not come through on the app either. However, their messages and replies appear in Google Messages. Ever since Samsung announced that they were discontinuing the Samsung Messaging app, I began having issues using the app. I hope that glitch gets fixed, too. When Samsung brings the app back in full throttle with the new features, I hope that issue is resolved.

I hope for Samsung messaging to come back as well, as I do love some of Google features I HATE i can not categorize my messages into groups and themes are not able to be applied.

YOU HAVE TO REPLY " STOP " TO GET THEIR AUTOMATED MESSAGES TO STOP AND YOU ARE NOT ALLOWRS TO REPLY STOP THAT I BLOCKED FOR SOME REASON AS A RESPONSE IN A TEXT MESSAGE .
