Security patch/ software updates

The last time I had a Security Patch update was February 1, 2024. My Android Version is 14 and my One UI is 6. I've tried reaching out to samsung and my service provider. I used smart switch twice, factory reset my phone, cleared phone cashe... I'm not sure what else I can do.

I just bought this phone as refurbished, unlocked last summer.

You will need to take the device to an authorized Samsung service center to flash official software to your phone

Who is your carrier ? Samsung releases updates to carriers and then carriers send them out to their clients. You need contact your carrier and get the updates from them. If your refurbished phone has custom firmware on it you wont get updates at all.

Yes, I contacted them and they said they see no updates. I'm through straighttalk

Is there a carrier store near you?

They can try to reprovision your device on their network. Like @3Fees states updates come from your carrier!

Research it. I can't find straight talk firmware updates at all, all the other carriers I see have the s22 with ui7 update since April 2025.

Dump your carrier and go with a major carrier.

Here are all the carriers in USA that have s22 with ui7 since April 2025. The 3 letter code is csc for each carrier tmk- tmobile and so forth. CSC for straight talk is TFN, Tracphone parent company of straight talk.
