    <description>Idk 🤷‍&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":female_sign:"&gt;♀️&lt;/span&gt;but im not happy about it. You cant have a ringtone. Just the stupid basic alerts. Ill switch to iphone if they actually do this. And you cant have youre theme on it either. So im mad about those 2 issues.</description>

      <description>Because it's being discontinued on July 6th 2026. So, if you still want to use a messaging app, you need to use Google messages, or another messaging app.</description>

      <description>I hope samsung will realize how **bleep** off their customer base is about being forced into Google messages and change their minds but unfortunately I don't see that happening. If I wanted to be forced to use Google messages, I would have bought a pixel. Will never purchase a Samsung again if they go through with this change. This choice has consequences, Samsung. Give your customers the freedom of CHOICE.</description>

      <description>Carriers will not commit support for Samsung massages, this is why Samsung is shutting down massages. Samsung stopped development of that massages couple years ago and they said back then that message will be gone.</description>

      <description>It must be only in the US then? Samsung messages for people over seas already have these updates. I don’t understand why they can't just update it for us here to meet the requirements instead of forcing their customers onto a 3rd party.</description>

      <description>If you like it so much, tell us how to delete older messages from a conversation and still keep the conversation with the latest messages...I get messages from a store, I want to keep the current week sale but delete last week. I tried but it deleted the entire conversation</description>

      <description>It is not about update, it's servers hosting RCS. Samsung messages depend on carrier servers to provide RCS, while Google uses its own servers. Apple message also use carrier servers and carriers agreed to provide servers for Appl,probably for a fee</description>

      <description>Open the message thread, find the message you want to delete, long press the message. It will then highlight and a little &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":wastebasket:"&gt;🗑&lt;/span&gt; will pop up on the top...click it and delete the message.</description>

      <description>You need to click on one and make it your default. Whichever one you usually use is the one you should make default. It's basically asking if you want to use Google messages or Samsung messages.</description>

      <description>RCS in Samsung Messages is carrier dependant and is not universally available to all users. For example, RCS has never been available to me in Samsung Messages on any of my devices because my carrier does not support it.</description>
