    <description>I believe you, no worries! This is a very odd situation. Those steps should work permanently. Try this... from the power menu, press down on the "Power down" icon on the screen until you see the "Safe Mode" option appear. Reboot the phone in Safe Mode. If the proximity sensor is working for an extended period of time while in this mode, then a 3rd party app is the culprit.</description>
