topic 5G standalone constant disconnects in Galaxy S22

This has been a issue for years. Many other people experience this 5G bug, and we have had to lock our phones onto 4G because 5G is buggy.

Without a strong lte signal also present, Samsung s22 and s23 all models experience frequent radio crashes while using stand-alone 5G. The 5G is simply switched off for reasons unknown, seemingly randomly in most cases, and if an lte channel is not present the radio simply crashes.

This is evident in one repeatable test... using Samsung band selection enable only a working N71 SA band, and also one not present lte band. Try to place a call. The phone app instantly turns off 5G every time, crashing the radio and attempts a phantom phone call on a non existent network.

Disable the lte channel and the phone app places the call normally on Voice Over NR.

The behavior of this disconnect is the same as the random mystery 5G disconnects .... the 5G radio is simply turned OFF by some rogue process that has permissions to change the radio state.

As this occurs in Safe Mode on a clean updated Samsung firmware, the conclusion is that there's bugs in the phone firmware causing these unintended radio crashes and disconnects.

However, phones from other manufacturers reportedly suffer the same sort of 5G disconnects and it's pretty well known to shut off 5G in order to be able to use your phone.

Well, turning off 5G worked for years here, but now T-Mobile has decommissioned the LTE and a 5G signal is all I get and I need another solution to

"phone radio constantly crashing and disconnecting while on solid standalone 5G if no lte channel is present "

other than not using the 5G because not using the 5G is no longer an option
