topic Mouse freezing and crashing S22+ Dex in Galaxy S22

Phone is plugged into a usb-c dock with an hdmi monitor and a usb keyboard/mouse combination connected

keyboard and mouse work perfectly on other machines, and seem to work well enough in Samsung Dex

The issue is that frequently the mouse pointer keeps freezing where it pauses and doesn't instantly respond to motion. It's working fine when first connected but then it starts freezing and won't stop. The pauses grow longer, then the mouse driver in the phone crashes and mouse pointer disappears. I remove the usb dongle and plug it into the other usb port to reset the mouse driver and it fixes it.... but only for a few seconds to a few minutes the the issue repeats. After all usb ports have been used like this, the mouse driver is down for the count and rebooting the phone is required to use the mouse again. Then the whole issue starts again.

Sometimes the S22+ runs for hours with no mouse issue at all before this begins, other times it occurs almost immediately after restarting phone and connecting in dex mode.

Have had exact same issue on S10 and now S22+

Makes the DEX is unusable, the way it totally ignores USER INPUT that is the phone's one and only job to respond to

How do I make this work?
