S22, after software update, all home screen icons are dead

All icons, phone, msg, contact, camera, etc are displayed, however do not work to the "touch". On home screen, the only thing working is the pull down. after opening pull down, screen touch works normally.

My s23ultra is doing the same exact thing, swipe down menu and the bottom 3 keys work fine, then a pop up keeps saying one ui home is working and options to "close app" or send feedback... I even called to send me a new phone. I did a soft reset, a hard reset, and cleared cache as you advised and nothing worked

I posted a thread with your same problem. I'm on the s23 ultra. You should be able to get the camera to work as well. As long as you double-click the power button to turn on the camera. This is only if you turn on the camera from a lock screen, not while the phone is unlocked. You'll be able to switch through all the camera and video modes as well as go to review the picture. However if you were to open the camera while the phone is unlocked you're only be able to take a picture using the volume down button. If you have it set as that.

I would have already factory reset my phone by now however I'm unable to backup my secure folder. Because you need direct access to phone touch screen to unlock secure folder.

Something's crashing on the launcher. I'm able to plug in my phone into the computer and use Dex fine. I'm able to use the phone through Microsoft Phone Link. Everything but secured apps will work here as that's a feature of knox. I've seen a few more posts just like yours recently. Just become a bigger and bigger problem.

I'm holding out for an update hopefully. Since I have a Galaxy watch and tablet, as well as use Google voice for my phone calls. I'm okay not using my phone if they're actually willing to address this issue in a reasonable amount of time.

I use Microsoft launcher and don't get this close app notification. However if I switch back to One UI. I do get the same exact problem you're having.

I cant power down the phone, holding the power button, wants to start Bixby. even when I choose cancel, Bixby attempts to start again. the Bixby stuff started after the update.

disabled Bixby, then power button disabled, couldn't do anything. reset in settings per your direction, was able to power down, reset cashe per your earlier instruction. now all is well. thank you!!!

Why use a custom launcher? We stopped using those launchers since they broke the Taskbar and All Apps button (the nine dots button on the far left) on our tablets.

That sounds more like specic problem to your tablet model. I'm entrenched into Office 365 and Microsoft Launcher works really well, regardless if I use office 365. Never had a problem with using it.

It like saying why use Android tablets "they break and are slow".
