Getting multiple repeat notifications from multiple apps

Has anyone been getting repeat notifications on multiple apps since the official launch of the new software? I was not having this on beta, but multiple apps have been sending me the same notifications over and over and over even though I've acknowledged them. I have probably received the same "like" notification on a Facebook messenger message 20-25 times since Friday. It seems to be message related, not reminders, or calendar etc....

I've tried clearing cache and data on those apps that I'm experiencing it. I also went in my notification history and cleared all history. I'm HOPING I don't have to do a factory reset.

Ongoing notifications OneUI6

Hello,

One of my favorite weather apps has a ongoing notification (or persistent notification) feature that essential gives me a constant update in my notification bar.

This appears to have broken in OneUI 6 or Android 14 for me. The notification can be swiped away and only shows back up when I return to the app.

Anyone else have apps with persistent notifications? Same issue?

Old/prior notification keep popping up

For the past 2 days I keep getting notifications I have deleted from my recent notifications.

It's not even 1 or 2, it's literal full group chat conversations, message per message that I keep being notified even after I've deleted it earlier in the day.

I'm not sure what to do

I got the S23U and was a part of the beta, I don't know if it's a bug or what's going on.

Likewise, makes me want to just ignore every notification since they're all repeated
No updates to my software or apps it's happening in either

Mine seems to be just Instagram and Facebook so I was searching to see if others had the same problem and it appeared to be an issue in 2019 but I couldn't see a resolution then just lots of people agreeing

I haven't received the latest OS update yet, so I haven't experienced that yet. But I would try to restart the phone into recovery mode and select Repair Apps and see if that works.

I am having the same exact issue on my s22 ultra along with not recieving notifications at all and many other issues I cannot explain since the official update after being on the beta system software. I've cleared every cache for apps with trouble and even did the same thing with my entire phone. Everything is worse with the update I did.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I did this as well as wiped all cache partitions and I'm still getting notifications from Friday forward. When I first booted my phone I probably got 60-70 notifications. 😂😭😂😭 And none were new.

It's happens on my Tab S7 and that has the latest software that it needed installed and that was way back in early spring...both devices have been factory reset so many times and apps installed one by one to see if an issue was on an app. I've had nothing but issues that can't be fixed only starting in late fall

Same here. Instagram. Just started. Android apps and their updates are the dumbest software stuff around. It's been years and Android still can't fix the simplest stuff. I'll never buy an iPhone because of their os is terrible, but they never have simple android issues. It's either one day smss not coming thru, or notifications popping late. Tired of this **bleep**

I know what you mean, at this point I've just started ignoring some notifications since for the most part, they're just old ones I already deleted

Messenger drives me crazy with this **bleep**! My S21 worked flawless! Had no issues what so ever. And with this s23 Ultra it feels like I'm back to my old S5 and all those not so charming faults.

Instagram Notifications

With the new software update One UI Version 6.0 Instagram has been going crazy its sends the same notification multiple times. It pushes the same notification like atleast 6 times, even after i clear the notification or I open the notification it sends it again like if its the first time receiving the notification its driving me crazy. Because I use Instagram for business purposes 🙁

Having the same issues my phone is going crazy after the new update but my problem is Instagram notifications its sends the same notification multiple times, after I clear the notifications or after i open the notifications they still pop up again like if it was a new notification. It doest all thru the day driving me crazy the past week

Same Multiple notifications from IG after I clear them and after I open the notifications the keep popping up all day long, like if they were new notifications. 🙁 started happening after the new 6.0 update.

Mine is Instagram, facebook, telegram and it seems like 1 or two other messaging type.
