Voicemail stopped notifying me that I have a message

For several months now, my phone has stopped notifying me that I have a voicemail. Instead, I get some 'visual voicemail error' that recurs 2 or 3 times after I clear it from the notifications before it stays gone. I don't have, and never have, visual voicemail. I'd like to get this resolved. Anybody else have the same issue? I've Googled the out of it. So far, nothing.

You must have some vvm app or you wouldn't be getting a vvm error. Do a search. If you have a carrier locked phone, they may have added it. Voicemail issues should be addressed to your carrier.

Thanks! I'll search. I did take it to my carrier and they said it was a Samsung issue.

The notification issue may be a Samsung issue, but the vvm error, not.

I have a similar issue with my z flip 3. No voicemail message alerts. My carrier has helped me and all looks set up right. Next step will be to factory reset. I want to avoid that. Is there a solution before that step?
