topic S22 Ultra restarting repeatedly and now not working in Galaxy S22

I am extremely disappointed with the latest update from Samsung, which occurred yesterday and has caused me numerous issues. As a result, I have lost all my family pictures, client contacts, and important data.

I own a Samsung S22 Ultra, which suddenly updated itself without my consent. Since the update, the phone kept turning on and off repeatedly, and today, at around 2 PM, it stopped working completely. I contacted Samsung customer service, and they assisted me in booking an engineer to visit my house to repair the phone. However, I cannot run my business for the next two days, and unfortunately, I had not backed up my phone recently.

This means I will lose all my recent data, customer contacts, and, most importantly, family photos of my little one, which are incredibly precious to me—all because of a faulty update. This experience has been frustrating and upsetting, and I feel let down by Samsung.

Hello srsamavati, Welcome to the Community. We understand how upsetting it is to experience the phone turning off and on repeatedly and then not working at all.

These are the recommended troubleshooting steps for the restarting concern: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshoot/TSG10001548/

We also suggest wiping the cache partition on your device and see if that helps any.

- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
- When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
- An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.

If those steps didn't help, try testing the device in safe mode to see if a third-party app may be causing this to occur. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

If the symptoms still persist, a factory reset would be recommended at this point, before doing this step make sure your device is fully backed up, so you won't lose any important data. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

As the phone is no longer working, service is the next step to have the phone evaluated and repaired. The following provides steps for setting up service: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

For service outside the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html

At this time we recommend following through with your service appointment.
