Posting in the middle of an unrelated post, is not going to help you or anyone else and it's rude and distracting to the original poster.

Not charging and not powering on

My Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra was supposed to do an automatic system update tonight. I can only guess it attempted it and failed causing my phone to brick due to whats happened. My phone was working perfectly and was at about 80% charge when I set it down and walked away for 30 minutes. When I came back it was turned off and would not turn on. Nothing was on the screen. I eventually did a force restart using the power button and volume down button. It then went a screen that said "One UI" and a percent bar started slowly moving up til it hit 25%. It stayed there for about ten minutes and then my phone shut off. Another forced restart and the same thing though it made it to 32% before shutting off though it took nearly 15 minutes to get there. Tried again and it shut off at 25%. Again at 25%. Again and this time made it to 42% before shutting off. Again shut off at 25%.

I tried chat with Samsung and that was pointless as they kept wanting me to do things that required my phone to be on and accessible. Pretty obvious they weren't even reading what I wrote. Eventually they suggested I try a forced restart even though I'd explained multiple times I'd done that many times but I did one with them again and it shut off at 25%. They then went silent and didn't respond to me again.

Anyone have ideas? I'm locked out of so many things right now because of two factor authentication that sends a code to my phone which is currently bricked. Couldn't even log into my Samsung account and had to create this new one just to ask this.

Take it to Samsung service center and have them reflash your phone. Bricked phones can be reflashed and get working again.

Cheers
3Fees

You obviously tried to force a start during the update cycle and interrupted the update, then made it worse by continuing to force restart it. You most likely walked over to your phone when it was in the reboot process. It was not the update that bricked your phone, but your actions.

Something similar happened to me with my S24 Ultra. What I did was connect it to the PC with Smart Switch and upgrade to Android 6.1. I'll update it when the official One UI 7 arrives

As someone else had said I would take your phone to a Samsung service center and have them reflash your phone. That would probably be the easiest way to resolve this problem.

Same thing happened with my Fold 3. Set it to Samsung, just got it back and it is still not working. They said 4-7 weeks to repair - they had the phone 5-6 weeks,

They are having me send it in again.

Goodluck.

Mine updated to ui7 Saturday night 5/10. This morning, I took a photo, and it froze up and then restarted itself. Continue to reboot over and over. I managed to get it in safe mode to clear the cache, but that didn't help.

It then continued to reboot over and over, and when it did load up, it only lasted a few minutes until it went back to reboot loop. So it continued that until the battery ran out. I gave up and will try again tomorrow, but from what I have read, I am **bleep** getting anything backed up... it was supposed to auto backup, but every time Samsung backup app update it would stop backing up until I logged back in. So only things I could get back on a backup phone was apps, and contacts. None of my photos or videos were backed up, apparently. Really missing when there used to be SD card slots on phones... and as a lifelong android user, this mess is kinda making think about switching to Apple because I had a perfectly working phone before this update...
