Printing from gallery

I take screenshots of many things like bills and recipes which go to gallery, but the phone tells the printer to print it like a picture on glossy paper. I can tell the printer to use plain paper but I can't change it printing in photo mode which uses lots of ink and is slow! How to print from gallery in document printing, fast and less ink usage.

If you have a copy on your phone, why do you need a printed hard copy?

Maybe in the printer's settings you can tell it to print in draft mode & in black and white mode too if you want. Printer settings, not phone.

If you're using your camera app it's always going to save the image as a high resolution photo. If you wish to save an imagine as a document to print, you'll want an app that will save the item as a pdf. I use Microsoft's OfficeLens.

Thank you. That is helpful. What I can't understand is we just upgraded to S23 from an S9. I've always used screen shots for recites of building permits and such and it always went to gallery and I printed them for business needs. But not now. Thank you for the info.
