So I have a strange issue with my phone. When I switch to or from the speaker mode during a call, the call seems to mute me to the other person on the call. I then have to hang up and call back. I can hear them perfectly. Same thing going from android auto in the car to the phone. Any ideas?

*6 will un mute and mute the call. I had same issue and even though the mute button wasn't highlighted I was still muted. Press *6. It will unmute. No need to hang up.

Hello, welcome to the Community, and thank you for reaching out to us about your difficulties usign speakerphone. There are a few things that can cause issues with the speaker while you are on call or listening to audio playback through your Galaxy phone. For example, there could be an external device where the audio is being redirected. It's also possible that a software problem or physical damage is causing the issue: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001255/

If the troubleshooting isn't helpful, submit an error report (https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/mobile-devices/raising-an-error-report-via-samsung-members-app/#:~:text=1%20Launch%20Samsung%20Members%20app,Describe%20Your%20Problem%20in%20Details.), and the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician. For service in the U.S., you can take the phone to a local U.S. walk-in service location https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung or to ship the phone in for service, please reach out to us via one of the following options: 1.
