S23 Ultra can't see bluetooth contoller

I'm trying to connect my Xbox Series X Forza controller to my S23 Ultra but my phone can't find the controller in pairing mode. To be sure I was actually in pairing mode, I checked and the controller showed up on my PC and iPad without issue. Anyone else come across this?

Mine pairs just fine upon checking. Double check that your devices are up to date, especially the controller. If all else fails you could always connect via a USB-C cable. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks so much for the suggestion! After 2 tries I was able to update the controller and now my S23 Ultra sees and connects to it!
