Battery life and performance issues

When I first got this phone, it was amazing. Always had good battery life and lever lagged, I got it last February and it worked perfectly, but I now the phone lags a LOT, anything I do makes it lag, sometimes opening an app has a 1 second delay, opening the quick panel sometimes has a lag spike. I checked my devices performance on 3d mark and it's significantly worse then when I checked when I first got the phone. When I first got it it was over 4k points on wild life extreme, now it's 2300. HALF AS STRONG AS IT USED TO BE. The battery life is also really bad now, will maybe last abt 6 hours on average. I feel like for a high end phone, I shouldn't be having these issues. I hope one ui 6 fixes these issues, if not then I might consider switching back to Google pixel.

@nuclear412 Here's a potential solution you can try to resolve the issue with your phone!

You can try wiping The Cache Partition on your device. Here are the instructions on how to do so:

1. Turn off your Galaxy S23 completely.

2. Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button at the same time.

3. Keep holding until you see the Android recovery menu appear.

4. Use the Volume down button to highlight “Wipe cache partition”.

5. Press the Power button to select it.

6. You will see a confirmation message, select Yes to confirm.

Your S23 will reboot and the cache partition is now wiped.

Expect to see improvement in your battery life in 3-5 days. The phone's Alogorythm will need to relearn your usage patterns. This is a known issue by many users experiencing the symptoms that you posted about. Please be patient!

Kinda of, I have a app to replace the ugly default Noti pop up. I have apps like that so I'm think they might be the cause, idk

That very well could be the root of the problem right there! It's certainly a very high possibility that it's eating up your phones CPU Processor Cycles. This would cause a severe performance hit!

My experiences of many years suggests that it could be one or both or a combination of the two. I'd start by removing one of the Virus blockers. Reboot your phone and I bet you will see a much snapper device!
