Hi there, welcome to the Community, and thanks for reaching out. Nothing from the phone would cause it to print in such a manner, but you can check to see if the phone is in Dark Mode or not. Otherwise, it would be best to reach out to the manufacturers of that printer, and start the troubleshooting with it. Perhaps the printer has an app you can utilize to print from that may not reproduce this behavior if done within said app itself.

I'm having the same issue, not sure if the others commenting understand... This only started happening after the last major software update in November 2023. I have a S23 Ultra. When I would print a document from my phone, it used to print black text on my white printer paper, but now when I print from my phone, it wastes a ton of ink by making the background all black and the text white. I have looked in settings and everything and there's nothing to change. I have a feeling it is a bug that Samsung needs to fix because I never had this issue prior to that last update. Same thing is happening with my husband's phone, another S23 Ultra.

Dropping in to add that I also have this issue as well as my parents. I think its the camera app, at least for us, as using a 3rd party scan or camera and then printing the captured image does not result in the grey backgrounds.

That's not true. Even since the update our 3 Samsungs are pring in black background. So are 10 other family's that we just talked with. It is 100% something that happened with that update. Even if you switched to light mode, still printing that way

Nothing to do with printer. It prints pine the apple phones and our computers

Help I am having the same problem. Whenever I print anything it comes out with a black background! HELP it is driving me nuts trying to fix this on my own!!

Question, do all of you guys utilize a dark mode by any chance?

Does your phone have a black background so it's printing exact?

Have you spoken with the manufacturer of the printer to see if there's settings that can be done on that end?

No dark mode. Printing documents from my s23 ultra has worked great until the phone updated. Nothing has changed with the printer that I've had for years. No problems with the printer from other devices.

There is definately something wrong with the documents printing with a black background and white lettering since the last update. Please correct this as it is interfering with my job!!!

My iPad doesn't do this. Neither does my computer. Just my phone. I'm not in dark mode. This is really messed up

I have just installed a brother printer on a Samsung A34 phone. Everything I print has exactly the same problem with a black background.

It definitely has to do with the phone. It was working fine until 2 weeks ago or so. I have a Galaxy S23. I printed today from it and again it printed white on black. I went on my laptop and printed from that same website that I was printing from on my s23 and it came out correct... Black on white background.

I just went to the Play store and installed the Brother Print service Plug In and I am now getting it to print properly. When I chose to print from Adobe, it asked me if I wanted to use that plug-in and I said yes and it came out fine.
