Connect watch to new phone

My previous Samsung S23 phone had the black screen & I had to get a replacement phone and put the SIM in my new phone. I cannot get my Samsung watch to connect to the new phone because it is still connected to the old phone. I cannot disconnect from the old phone due to black screen. Is there any other way I can get watch disconnected from old phone?

@MrsCowan You shouldn't have to disconnect it from the old phone. On the watch, swipe down and click on the Gear icon. Scroll down and click on General. Click on Transfer watch to new phone.

I've tried that but each time it says unlock phone. I can't unlock the old phone due to the black screen & I can't see to type in the password.

Just reset the watch if it's been backed up you can restore it on the new device.
