Update 6.1 made touchscreen unusable without S Pen

After the update my touch screen will not work unless I use the Spen. Samsung made a comment blaming it on Google?? But I've heard from other people it's been an issue for a couple of years so I'm curious on when they plan to fix it because this is ridiculous, I have some apps where I can only log in with my fingerprint.

After installing version 6.1 (14) on my phone the touch screen is no longer responding to a finger touch but works with the S Pen, how do I fix this?

I noticed the bottom of the screen was not responsive and should have been a temporary issue right after restarting, but it works once all apps are fully optimized. The good news is that this is not a permanent problem, at least for me. A restart will resolve it, but wait for apps to be optimized after initial restart before forcing a restart.

After hitting the 6.1 update, I'm stuck with the same problem: the touch screen is totally unresponsive. It's downright disheartening. Can't believe a brand would drop an update this messed up

Also having the same problem. Stylus luckily still works otherwise i wouldnt be able to use my phone at all

Me too... It has to be a Samsung issue. Thank God I have a Note 20 still in the box which i turned on today. I hope they fix this soon.

I am also having this exact issue since the update. Did anyone figure anything out for a solution yet? Using the s pen for everything can be quite difficult, especially when in a hurry.

S 23 ultra problem after update

After updating my s23 ultra to the newest 6.1, my phone will only respond to my s pen!! I can't use my fingers at all!! This is so annoying!! Anyone else having this issue???
