S23 phone display not showing for calls, can't hang up calls either.

For the last 2-ish weeks, my s23 continues to have an issue randomly where the phone display does not show when someone is calling, it just rings with no way to answer or decline the call. On top of that, when I make a call, the same thing happens, the display is gone and I can't hang up. The only way to hang up is to force the phone to turn off. At first, I thought the grubhub driver app was causing this, but when not working and using the app, I still have the problem. I reached out to at&t who asked if my phone was updated, i updated it, next day, issue is still there. The only other option they gave me was to back up my device and factory reset the whole thing. I'm hoping someone knows of something else I can do to fix this so I don't have to spend the time backing up everything on the phone.

*Clearing the phone apps cache and data only fixes it temporarily.

I have had the same issue with my phone, only I'm on the xfinity network. I have tried everything short of factory resetting my phone, because I use it for work and haven't had time to do so. The only thing that fixes it is powering off the phone and restarting it, which is incredibly problematic since it often happens at work.

Me too. Themost recent update is RIDICULOUS! So many issues caused and Samaung is ignoring. Let alone the areocious camera for a $1000 phone.

Oddly, it stopped happening for a while now and I noticed it may be from using the grubhub app considering all this time it hasn't happened I haven't been using that app. So I have no idea what it was but I'm glad I didn't have to reset the phone completely.

This has started happening to me too!! I have checked permissions, etc. I do not have Grubhub & other than phone updates; I have not added anything new to my phone. This article says the issue has been "solved" but I am not finding the solution. Can anyone help? Thank you!

This is ridiculous. A $1k phone that doesn't even function AS A PHONE.

I do want to add for others having issues. I started using the grubhub app again and this time not having an issue so perhaps grubhub wasn't the cause of it but either way the issue resolved itself on its own. I'm not sure what was causing it but I'm glad it fixed itself because I wasn't trying to factory reset the phone.
