Can't disable Galaxy Store notifications?

How do I remove these ads they thought was a good idea? I can't disable the notifications on the galaxy store or disable the galaxy store. I don't know how Samsung thought this would be a good idea.

Did you? You don't turn it off in the Galaxy store. You go into the device's settings for notifications and turn it off there

No. Pull down the top of the screen and go to settings. Search for notifications. Go in there. When you're in there, make sure to change from most recent to all...Find Galaxy store and turn it off

@Dvc There is a way to turn these off. It does take a couple of steps. First let's turn on visibility for the notification categories.

Open phone settings
Click on Notifications
Click on Advanced settings
Enable the option "Manage notification categories for each app". I hope that in the future this is on by default but currently it is not.

Now turn off the Galaxy Store notifications that you don't want.

Open phone settings
Click on Notifications
Click on App notifications
Click the 3 dots in the right top corner and enable Show system apps
Scroll down and click on Galaxy Store
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Notification categories.
Now you can turn off the items that you don't want.

Have you tried "force stop" under settings - apps - galaxy store? I don't know if that will work, but it's worth a try.

That worked for me. Samsung keeps removing or changing features on every update and it's frustrating.

Any other tips? The option to view notification categories is not there for me. I've un-installed the updates for the store app, but it's still sending notifications. It's so frustrating.

Thank you! I never knew these options existed 🙂

Seems to be a recent change Samsung shoved in to prevent us from disabling their spam advertisements from the Store app. All the guides, including from Samsung's site, still reference the easy way (as it should be) for almost every other app of just going to the app's notification settings and switching them off.

Shame on Samsung!
