Has anyone had their phone with the Google maps and some other Google setting show up in a different language?

Has anyone had their phone with the Google maps and some other Google setting show up in a different language? I'm lost in city, US , go to Google maps and everything is in a language I do not recognize, I go to help setting in chrome (still in English) it tells you how to change but you can't read the other language settings??? I have no clue how this could have happened? Help

go to the app settings on your phone: settings/apps/maps. Open the settings, scroll down to "language", click on that. Either choose system default (which I assume is English for you) or choose English (United States). When you re-open maps, it should be in the right language.

Thank you. It was only the gps part that was in Dutch, I changed to English... How it got that way I'll never know. Lol
