The Secure folder has a setting called "reset with Samsung account" that needs to have been enabled. The Forgot Password/PIN will only show up if Reset with Samsung account is enabled for Secure Folder. If after clearing the cache and data still doesn't show Forgot Password, try changing the password of your Samsung account.
Once you have unlocked Secure Folder, ensure that you enable "Reset with the Samsung account" for Secure Folder. To do so, go to Settings > Security and privacy > Secure Folder > Lock Type and enable ‘Reset with Samsung account.’

Yes, if you uninstall secure folder, you WILL lose your data. You should be able to change your password in your Samsung account. By doing so, it should show Forgot Password prompt. For the "Forgot password" prompt to show you have to enter a wrong password at least 2 times before prompt shows.

No, I don't work for samsung, unfortunately. Did you try to change your samsung account password by going into device settings > accounts > tap on the samsung account option > my profile > security and privacy > password > change your password. After changing the account password, go into secure folder. This procedure has helped some users who are not getting the "forgot password" prompt.

If you still can't get in, reach out to samsung - 1-800-samsung
https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/

From the link I posted.

IMPORTANT
If you did not activate " Reset with Samsung account " option when you set your security method, the Forgot prompt will not appear and you will not be able to recover access to your secure folder.

Cheers
3Fees
