My lock screen is always black showing only clock

Until a few weeks ago my lockscreen always showed the picture I had chosen. Now it is just black and shows only the clock with a couple of notification icons. Have tried everything but cannot get my picture to show again on the lock screen.

Try wiping the "cache partition" to see if that helps. It's safe and won't remove your settings or app files. Clearing the "cache partition" can help resolve any issues caused by old or corrupted system cache data.

Follow the steps below, Be careful DO NOT SELECT WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET OR YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA!

Clear the cache partition
- Turn the phone off (shut down)
- Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the side key.
- When the Android system recovery menu options show release buttons.
- Press the volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press the side key to select.
- Press the volume down key to highlight yes, then press the side key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system is now highlighted.
- Press the side key to restart the device.

The first time I tried that it didn't work, no doubt due to user error but at least I didn't do any further damage. I tried again and it worked. Thanks very much for your help!

Sorry I overlooked the dots. I only saw something to click on that said Accept Solution, which I did click on. I just now went back to look for the 3 dots but when I click on them this is what I see . . . (Screenshot)

I'm sorry if the Accept, or Solved Solution did not show up. I'll try logging out and log in again to see if I can correct this.

I see, You accidentally accepted your own comment, so you would have to reject that solution, and then the accept solution option should show up on my comment when tapping the 3 dots. The Windows/web version set-up is more complicated compared to the Android app version.
