Dropped Phone - Black Screen - Recover Data

Hi guys.

I've dropped my phone a few days ago and the morning after my screen has gone black. I couldn't see a thing and have some/very little light on the screen when I type.

I was originally able to unlock the phone with my fingerprint when it went black but then facing fine the soft reset (silly me) now I'm stuck on the lock screen from boot which needs a password to unlock! The phone is still responsive and I do get the charging notification when plugged in but this has recently stopped. I do get hepatic feedback and when I take the S-pen out, it is making the sounds. My 3 alarms are also going off in the morning.

I've tried connecting the phone to a laptop with a cable but because it is locked it opens up a blank screen on windows.

I'm desperate to get in to the phone to get that data.

Is this a simple screen replacement job? If so, who do I go to? Do I got to samsung and pay for the repair or do I go independent. I'm not sure what else to do.

If anyone has a screenshot of the keyboard after the phone boots up when restarting and entering a password please can you send this to me so I can try and get in that way. I have ordered a USB C wired keyboard that works with tablets hoping that this might help me unlock the phone, but I'm not sure it will work.

Any other ideas would be great. I've been without my phone for a few days now and not sure what my next steps are.

Really appreciate the screenshot you've sent.

I have a password lock on my boot screen and not a pin. Do you happen to have a screenshot of that screen? I can't remember what my boot screen comes in to after restarting.

Try this if this doesn’t work you would need to have the screen replaced or possibly try connecting your phone to a tv with a hdmi cable

Thank you for this great help.

I am going to ask another favour from you if possible please can you at all give me the dimensions of the keyboard as it appears on the phone then I am going to use tracing paper and put it on top of my phone hoping that it sense touch through the paper.

I am booking a Samsung repairer for the screen anyway I think. I know there's no guarantee but I'm hoping a screen replacement shouldn't affect the data on the motherboard?
