    <description>&lt;P&gt;It is likely the loss of the mic function had absolutely nothing to do with the update.&amp;nbsp; Some things happen by coincidence.&amp;nbsp; It could be the mic was already failing when the update took place and that was the final straw.&amp;nbsp; Some updates put a strain on certain hardware, and if that component was weak, it could cause it to finally expire. If the diagnostics say the mic is bad, it is likely not software related.&amp;nbsp; You will have to take it to a service center for evaluation and repair.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
