As you suggested I cleared the cache on my Netgear router android app and wiped the S23 cache partition. I've owned Samsung Galaxy models since 2017 and I've never had to do either of these operations.

In any event clearing the app cache and wiping the partition on the S23 had no effect, the Netgear Orbi App still can't find my router.

All of your problems seem to be app based. I would contact the app developers via the Playstore on their app listing in the contact developer. They are the ones who are best able to solve your problems.

They messed up my 2 outdoor security systems with this update!! Right after the install!!! They are going off at nothing. Making me think someone is at my home. I am here and nobody is at the door. 2 different systems. WHAT did you do? I do not like the drop down. You changed my camera to gray and it's hard to find. I do not want your camera off apps when my phone is already nearing capacity. STOP doing that!! I have an Android Galaxy S24. You are ruining my phone. I cannot afford another one.

The fact that an android app stopped working as designed immediately after a recent S23 software update hardly eliminates the S23 software update as the source of the problem. That is, a bug in the S23 software update wouldn't necessarily be the problem for the android app developer.

However, this is besides the point. . . .The point of my community posting was not to blame my issue on the S23 software update, but to eliminate "me" as the source of the problem. If no one else has experienced a similar problem with their home router's android app after the S23 software update then my problem is unique to me. And I've got to look to my phone (or router) settings as the potential source.

The chances of someone else having the same exact problem as you, is slim. Contacting the app developers is usually the best course of action.

Have you cleared the cache in the problematic apps?

Have you performed a wipe cache partition after installing Ui7?
It is crucial to do this after each and every software update.

Samsung/Android Software update bugs once in a while cause widespread issues for some users.

I guessed that two S23 wifi issues that I noticed immediately after the April 2025 S 23 Software update were the result of a possible bug in that update. Of course it is often the case that issues that are not related by a common cause nonetheless cluster. In my case Web searches showed no other S23 users were having the same or similar issues. I posted my issues on the Samsung community forum just to be sure no other users were having a similar problem and quickly eliminated the S23 Software update as the cause.

After taking a closer look at my two problems I determined that my trail cam had a hardware problem requiring the camera's replacement and my Netgear Orbi Android App needed a settings change. Though the MAC address randomization on the S23 may have been a contributing factor. This issue is solved.

Samsung flagship phones have always been garbage. They talk them up but then they don't run very good in the long run. S24 Ultra has been broken since day one and they've never fixed it. The phone can't even properly connect to a Wi-Fi 6 connection. They have masqueraded it for years as a problem with your settings but it's a problem with their people who can't code anything properly. All this company can do is put intrusive stuff on your phone. They change settings on senior's phones thinking that's what's best for them which is the worst thing ever. This company is run by **bleep**.

Except I'm now having the same issues. My wifi chip isn't even working in my Galaxy Fold 3 after the One UI 7 update. This update sucks. I hate how it looks like iPhone UI. I hate how it overheats now. Now my battery drains faster. This update is terrible and the programmers who designed this should feel bad.

This issue is not resolved. My entire WiFi capability has been disabled on my Galaxy Fold 3. The setting won't toggle to on. I can't connect to any WiFi network. My GPS is not working correctly. I've tried clearing the cache partition in the root menu by holding the volume up and power button. I've tried forgetting and resetting the wifi and Bluetooth information under the Reset menu. Nothing is making WiFi work. This update ruined my phone.

I'm just guessing. but I think Samsung began using MAC address randomization in the recent past. I think randomization means that periodically the phone software changes your MAC address for security reasons. I have no idea how often this occurs.

If you have some form of access control setup on your home router which rejects connection attempts from a "new" devices that could be your issue. Possibly after the S23 software update the MAC address of the Samsung phone was changed and your router is rejecting a "new" device which you haven't approved.

You should be able to logon to your router as administrator and see whether your router has denied it to connect. If that is the case it should be a simple matter to "allow" it.
