One UI 7 clock icon no longer dynamic

Anyone else noticed this? The clock icon on the home screen used to show what time it was. I liked that. Now with this Android 15, One UI 7 update, it's static. 👎

I just noticed that the calendar icon is now static too. 👎 😠

I just looked and it's updating the time on a Fold 5 I would suggest wiping the cache partition to see if that fixes it

Here's a step-by-step guide:

Turn off your phone: Make sure your S23 is completely off.

Enter Recovery Mode: Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons.

Navigate to Wipe Cache Partition: Use the Volume Down button to navigate the Recovery menu and highlight "Wipe cache partition".

Select Wipe Cache Partition: Press the Power button to select the option.

Confirm the Action: You'll be asked to confirm, so use the Volume Down button to select "Yes" and then press the Power button.

Reboot the System: After the cache wipe is complete, "Reboot system now" will be highlighted. Press the Power button to restart your phone

@CatGymnPaint Do you have a theme installed? Typically this issue is caused by using a theme.

No theme. But I do use Good Lock and I just used it to get back the look that was removed. (Icon colors)

That was it. Good Lock icon theme. The new system icons are so ugly. I just sent the Good Lock team feedback about this. I hope they can issue a fix so that themed icons can be dynamic too.

Lack of proper icon pack support is a longstanding issue. Hopefully Samsung addresses this in the near future!

Yeah. So far it's either put up with static icons that look nice or the blooming ugly ones that are dynamic. 🫤 🤷
