Thank goodness for my A54. A few days ago, I installed the One UI 7.0 update for my S23 Ultra and I enjoyed the refresh. However, just yesterday, on my S23 Ultra, I was on Google and tapped on an article, but then my phone froze and completely shut off. Nothing worked, the screen was stuck, buttons didn't respond, and now it will not turn on. My battery was at 63% and I tried charging it, didn't work. Connected it to a computer, nothing. I'm getting it serviced tomorrow to see if they can do anything. One UI 7.0 might've bricked my phone possibly because of a bug with Google.

This happened before two days earlier when I also was on Google looking through articles, but the phone still responded to everything but touches. All I had to do fix it was soft reset it using the buttons.

The incident has been painful, never in my life has this ever happened to my Samsung devices.

Almost identical thing happened to my Samsung S23 Ultra. I installed the update. It worked fine for a day or so. It randomly rebooted and then restarted. The next day I was typing a text message and it just shut off. I can't get it back on and my PC won't recognize it.

They weren't too sure since it was only a Samsung Authorized repair center. They couldn't exactly point to the update as the root cause as they're unable to fully pinpoint it without extensive testing. They did say it might be an issue with the motherboard that could be tied to the One UI 7 update as my issues started only after the update.

I have to talk to Samsung and my phone carrier about any credits or devices.

The EXACT same thing happened to my S23 the day after I installed UI 7.
It turned itself off in my hands at about 40% battery. It wasn't hot, it didn't fall on the floor, nothing other than normal use.
My S23 doesn't respond to the battery charger, it doesn't vibrate and the screen is completely dead. It doesn't respond to buttons. Nothing!
I'm taking it to an authorized service.
I'm on a trip and had to buy an A16 to save my life temporarily
