How do I turn call recording off? I cannot find a toggle in settings and am very disturbed by the addition in the update.

In phonecdial settings has recording thing I never messed with it it should only activate if you manually start it

Regrettably, call recording cannot be disabled as it is an inherent feature of the operating system. It will only record if you press the record button once you initiate a call.

When receiving a call have somehow pressed that call recording button by accident many times don't want it should have option to turn off

Need to be able to get rid of the call recording button! Even though it can only be turned on by pressing it... it can be pressed easily while holding the phone. Also, I will not be able to use the phone for work calls due to this feature being there. It is a SECURITY ISSUE! Also please note that the battery indicator on the top of the phone is now HORRIBLE...

It clicks on without touching. I was on a call with ear buds and phone sitting on the bed. I had to race to turn it off.

I will be leaving the Samsung family after 20 years over this call record issue it's crazy that u can't turn it off and by these other post it looks like they are telling us to go f### ourselves if we don't like it .

The button is accidently activated when you have the phone next to your face when listening to the phone call. Very bad design.

I don't even have the option to turn the call recording on/off. I just get that recording icon when I use "Phone" calling and I can see there is a green dot that lits up near the battery % percentage simbol. It only goes green when recording. And it is NOT just with the Phone calling app. It is also with WhatsApp!!!! This is INVASION of PRIVACY!!

If this is not sorted I will say goodbye to Samsung and any other phone having that facility without CLEAR instructions / buttons for TURNING OFF.

I am incensed and already fed up with these AI nonsense looking more and more to steal our data and privacy!!

The green dot means your in a call not that it's recording you have to manually hit the small recording icon once a call has been placed before it will even start recording.

Today as I was about to make a call I discovered my phone was recording my Phone calls (Galaxy S23 with latest software updates). It also seemed to have a strange green dot near the battery % sign which I have never seen before. having spent a lot of time researching and following Samsung and other platforms advice on how to turn the " call recording off", to my amazement, I discovered that I don't even have the option to turn the bloody thing on/off. Its just automatically on!!!

I get that recording icon when I use "Phone" calling (and not just that one, Google calling also has it, except they make it more obvious and with clearer unhidden instructions to turn it off FOR GOOD) and, yes I can see there is an option there to "record"/ not. However SAMSUNG, it is INSANE that you,ve decided to place that recording icon there where most people, having the phone attached to their ears, can easily press it and then have to fuff about trying to put the phone down before the "this conversation is being recorded" message is played.

Furthermore, I have noted that it is NOT just the Phone calling app which causes the green "recording dot" to appear near the battery percentage sign.

This happens with other apps that can record your conversations as well, like WhatsApp!!!! and this time it doesn't even show you the "recording symbol", it just illuminate, suggesting that clearly your WhatsApp convo is being recorded.

This is a total INVASION of PRIVACY!!

First you say there is no option to turn off call recording then you say you see there is a option to turn it off. Which one is it ?

Is there a way to turn it off if it is just telling the people not to play these little games. This is why you should have a choice to update. They are saying they are helping, but making something worse

Call recording should be an option that you see when you make a phone call it is not actually turned on unless you press that button and hear the voice say this call is being recorded. Once you press it though to stop recording just press that same button and you should hear a voice saying call is no longer being recorded.

Just holding my phone to my cheek has clicked the recording button 5 times in the past two weeks. We need an option to toggle that off or at least move it into the menu inside the active call screen so it isn't accidentally triggered.
