topic S23 FE Apps, battery, widgets, lag in Galaxy S23

Hoping to find some work arounds for some severe issues I am having since the update (which I didn't even mean to install in the first place, mind you).

The issues:

1. Every time I try to open an app (including but not limited to Amazon, Sam's Club, Finch, Disney Solitaire, my banking apps, etc.) it will look as if it is loading but never open up fully. It will just sit on the loading or logo screen until I close out and reopen, sometimes upwards of five times just to get into the app EACH TIME.

2. The phone is laggy as anything now, both the home screen and native apps as well as downloaded apps such as shopping and games.

3. The text on widgets is now TINY. Not the whole phone. Just the widgets. Yes, I can make the whole phone text bigger. But that's obnoxious and then all the other text is huge so that the widgets are readable.

4. Samsung messages- Yes, I know they are phasing it out. Well, it will look like I sent a message on my end by the person I send it to never receives it. I am using Google messages now, but that has its own issues, particularly that when I send a text "Hi, how are you?", when I go to enter the text box again, my whole last text will fill the box (Hi, how are you?) and I have to delete it to type what I actually want to say.

5. My battery is FINISHED. I went from charging 1-2 times per day depending on use to now 4-5 times.

Needless to say, my next phone will probably not be a Samsung because I am done with this **bleep**. So along with any workarounds, if anyone knows of any (Android) brands that don't throttle their older phones to force upgrades, I am open to those suggestions as well for once I pay this brick off.
