I haven't had overheating with Android Auto because I don't use Android Auto. However since the update to Android 15 and one UI7, occasionally I've had it lose cell signal and then overheat searching for signal. I ended up having a warning screen up here about custom operating systems out of the blue.

My device is overheating or disconnecting consistently when Android Auto is on. The screen on my car is a higher resolution one and I noticed it didn't happen on my old car with lower headunit resolution. I had recently gotten a car with a higher resolution screen and that was when the restarting began.

Hello all, we understand the concern of the phone overheating.

Some things that can help are the following:

Note: The battery adaptive feature may cause the battery to drain a little faster at first until the phone adapts to your usage, and learns how you're operating, the charge will be stored and used in different manners based on how you use your phone. This sometimes can take a few weeks for it to learn the habits and customize itself to make sure you have the best performance and lasting battery.

Clear device cache partition:

- Power off your device.
- While the device is powered off, simultaneously press and hold the power and volume up buttons.
- Once the Samsung logo appears, release both buttons. Your device should boot into recovery mode.

Using the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to select:

- Navigate to "wipe cache partition" and press power.
- Select yes to confirm.
- Navigate down to "Repair apps" and press power.

Optimize Apps (specifically Android Auto in this case): https://www.samsung.com/us/support/galaxy-battery/optimization/

You can also try the troubleshooting steps here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001413/

If you're receiving an overheating message check out the following link:

https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00076952/

If the troubleshooting is not helpful, the phone will need to be evaluated by a certified technician. For service in the U.S., you can take the phone to a local U.S. walk-in service location https://www.ubreakifix.com/samsung or to ship the phone in for service, please reach out to us via one of the following options:
1.
