Red Notification Icon On Emoji on Keyboard

I have had this issue for a long time now and it seriously is annoying me. I have seen multiple, NUMEROUS, posts about the red notification dot on the emoji for the Samsung keyboard. All having the same issue. It. Does. Not. Go. Away. I see moderators constantly "help" with the same auto response info message. To look at the emotes that are there, which are causing the red notification dot. And I do that. I clicked EVERY. SINGLE. EMOJI. I clicked every color variation as well for those emojis. And the dots still DO NOT GO AWAY.

They say it is not a bug. And this is an intended feature. But it clearly is a bug. I've gone through the directions, the instructions, etc. I have followed what they say. It just does not go away.

And so help me if I get the same auto response message without any actual help. I have already followed the directions from that message. It doesn't do anything.

And just in case you need to know what auto response directions it is that doesn't work, I will include that image as well.

I have seen that dot before and when I tap on the option that has the dot, and then go back to the keyboard, it will go away.

Tap the 3 dots at the top right of the keyboard > Settings (gear icon). Open any options that have a dot in there (if any), and then go back to the keyboard to see if it persists.

I have done this and there is none. It is the emojis that have the blue notification dot when I open my emojis on my keyboard. But I have clicked all of them as well as each and every color variation. And it doesn't go away

The blue dots mean that there are multiple variations of that emoji. If you long-press the emoji, it will give you other options.

Okay, try this (it worked for me)

Click the Emoji with the red dot.
Scroll the top bar to the left.
See if there is another red dot.
If yes, click on it.

There wasn't any red dots in the top bar. I even tried adding other emote/sticker packs that I didn't have selected (which were in the settings at the end of the bar). And there still wasn't any red dot to click

Baffling, You probably already did, but have you tried to Clear Data and Cache?

If you mean clearing the cache for the Samsung keyboard, then yeah I just did that. Still didn't get rid of it.

I have the same problem. When I click on that emoji icon I get the Galaxy AI writing or drawing assist button. I have turned that off in three places on my phone and will not get rid of it. I have tried moving it down to the far end of the scroll bar or toolbar and that doesn't work either. I'm seriously going out of my mind having to look at that red dot every time I text someone. Did you find anything out?

Hey! Unfortunately not. I still have that annoying red dot on the emoji icon. It drives me insane as well but it seems nobody knows what to do, since no one else has helped.

My wife had the same issue. She says to tap the blue AI star, then tap the + underneath the AI star. Then scroll to the right of the drawing styles and hit view all. When you look at all the styles, the dot will go away. Hope this helps!

I'm having the same issue. It went away briefly after clearing the cache, but came back.

Opening the emoji menu the stupid "AI sticker" tab is flagged.

When I tap on it, it wants me join The Collective of AI wonder:

Umm, no. I disabled that for a reason... just like I disabled chat assist, worrying assist, Gemini and Google AI... but apparently The Collective will pester me about it until I yield, or uninstall Samsung keyboard.

And while I was able to remove the AI button from the main page using the 3 dot trick, all I've been able to do with the stupid sticker button is move it to the end of the line.

I figured it out for myself, maybe this will work for you. Click on the Ai sticker button, then the + button to create a new ai sticker, then right above where is says generate, scroll over and there will be an option that says "view all". This was very hidden. So dumb.

That was definitely part of the issue actually. For some reason that "view all" button never appeared for me. So I thought I was pretty much done for by a bug. But it finally showed up for me this time and that's gone now. But unfortunately the red dot is still there on the emoji button.

Every time I tried to clear that dot when I was typing in a browser it would never go away. But I was finally successful. So try this.

Open messages. And do the same process. For some reason this cleared it. I dont know why, but it did. Hope this helps.

finally I managed to get rid of the dot only by clearing app data through Apps>Show system>Samsung Keyboard>Storage>Clear data. Hope it helps someone else.
