topic Battery Drain after new update 8.0? in Galaxy S23

Just purchased the Galaxy S23 Ultra with 95 percent battery. I've tried all the methods to reducing the quality of the phone slowing down the hz to 60 and disabling almost everything. I tried the following:
1. Factory Reset

2. Clear Cache Partition

3. Reset Battery Stats

Phone will drop 5 percent just from being on messages for 10 minutes with the brightness down almost all the way. Anyone experiencing this issue with the new one ui 8.0 update?

Try deleting pre-installed apps or apps you don't need. Check and see what apps you have running in the background. They could possibly create a battery drain.
Install a battery widget to your home screen so you can clean your memory and keep your phone optimized so it can run smoothly.
Remember, your phone is definitely a beast. And requires proper settings to be toggled on in order to maintain a smooth experience.
My advice would be to go on YouTube and type in S23 Ultra tips and tricks,or battery tips. Good luck.🙏

Is this a new phone or a used/refurbished one? Was it working fine before the One UI 8 update. Making sure the battery was OK in the first place.

If it is a new phone, you should get it replaced if the battery does not even last even a few minutes. That is not normal behavior with the standard installed apps.
