Can't download item more than 10 times??

Has anyone else ran into this issue, it's regarding either fonts or icons I have previously purchased. I just got a new Samsung phone and it's telling me either I've reached 10 downloads or Max downloads reached??

This right here is enough for me to send my phone back, I'm at my last straw with Samsung this is straight up pathetic

Yes, this is a known, frustrating, and likely technical glitch with the Samsung Galaxy Store's infrastructure rather than a true limit on your account. To fix this, clear the cache and data for the Galaxy Themes or Galaxy Store apps in your phone’s settings.

Steps to Fix the "Max Downloads" Error:

Clear Galaxy Themes Data:
Go to Settings > Apps > Galaxy Themes > Storage, then tap Clear Data and Clear Cache.

I tried all of that and even sent app feedback, all support did was tell me I reached max download and I had to repurchase it again.

I really want to help, but I'm curious as to why you had to download it so many times. And Please use the reply button. That way a notification is sent to the person you are responding to.

I'm really, really bad about breaking my phones. My last phone my a52 start going static across the screen like tvs use to do. My hands dont work very well due to nerve damage so im always flinging things out of my hands, like my phone. Even though it's in a rugged case with screen and lens Protectors they do just eventually give our on me (except my s8 it's going strong shattered front and back but still works lol)

Plus theres 2 times I recall having to send my phone in because an update messed it up, usually my speakers but they were still under manufacturer warranty.

Basically, I break phones. I dont upgrade alot or anything. But I know I've had atleast 3-5 different a52s.

I understand, I have done an exhaustive search and cannot find a solution other than the one I have provided. Hopefully someone else will have a solution for you.

Sometimes the app developers put restrictions on how many times you can redownload. Imagine you spent 1.99 for a theme then you gave your husband and 3 siblings and 5 children acess to your Samsung account so you can all have that theme for the same 1.99. the developers lose money on their efforts. I would imagine it's easier to restrict all purchased items to 10 downloads than have to program it for specific apps.

In the old days of computing, if we bought a program it came with a limited number of updates and installs, and if we wanted further updates after that or put it on an additional computer, we would have to repurchase the program.

However, if you have a tendency to break phones, I assume you restore your old phone's backup to the new one. This should also restore all your themes, fonts, layout and settings.

May I suggest a wrist strap (like this one https://a.co/d/09z276x9 ) that can be installed under any case so you can wrap the strap around your wrist when holding it, so that at least it remains tethered to you should it drop or fly from your hands. A neck strap or bandolier works, as well.

I've tried those ones before, either A] i break the snap, B]i bounce it off of things because I swing my arms alot or C it's always somehow in the proccess of putting the strap around my wrist i drop it anyway.

The most fool proof thing I've found is I just hand my phone to my sister cause she won't drop it. It's really insane often it happens my hands literally just stop working. So they stop gripping and it will go flying.

Though I have gotten better about not holding it in my hand so it doesn't happen as often, my keys are a different story though

Try the crossbody neck strap or a bandolier. At least it remains attached to you while using it - even if it is annoying. You do get used to it.

Also I do have a back up of my other phone, my other phone still kinda- sorta works enough I guess.

I have a sd card back up, and a Samsung cloud back up.

I'm going to try creating a back up from it using a flash drive and trying to restore from it on this one since it doesn't have an SD card slot

Not a huge fan of no sd card slot since I break my phone so much.

And while I understand the developers limits I feel jaded because it not actually visible anywhere stating the fact, it's more of a surprise.
Not to mention I've gotten this message before, I dont remember what I did, but I was able to eventually download them just fine.

And is 10 is the cut off, to be frank I passed that a years ago in download limits.

So I figured out how to get around the font side, and still get all my fonts i purchased despite reaching the max download 🙄

Haven't figured out how to with my icons yet, but somehow I've managed to get 4 free icon packs, I had them as trials on my previous phone and they now show as purchased on my new phone. Not sure what went on there

So if you have access to an old phone with the fonts on it (or capable of downloading said fonts) doesn't matter which one. I used my galaxy s8 from years ago.

You need to download shizuku from the app store, and swiftbackup.

Set up shizuku, there are a few guides online. So search first (I'll help you if I can if you get stuck).

On both phones do this.
But set up shizuku and then swiftbackup. And allow all permissions.

Basically I backed up the fonts from my s8 and then installed them from that backup to my s23+ and they worked no problem.

Prior to that I just copy the file using and adb gui on my computer and installed the font apk into my newer phone and it worked but that didn't work this time.

If any of that is confusing or anything let me know I'll word it better. Its 2am and I woke up and we'll im going back to bed now lol 😂
