You probably didn't have the setting enabled.

Hello debooo,

Can you give more details on the issue you are experiencing? Are you not able to power the device back on? Was your location "toggled" on before it died? Have you tried using a web browser and go to https://samsungfind.samsung.com/login sign into your Samsung Account and see if you are able to see your last location that way?
