[Galaxy S23 Ultra | Display Issue | Bangladesh | BTRC Registered]

Green line on Galaxy S23 Ultra after software update — BTRC registered device, requesting free replacement

Hello Samsung community,

My father's Galaxy S23 Ultra has developed a vertical green line on the display with absolutely no physical or water damage. We are based in Bangladesh and are seeking guidance on how to claim a free screen replacement under Samsung's known green line defect program.

━━ Device Details ━━
• Model: Galaxy S23 Ultra
• Issue: Vertical green line on display
• Physical damage: None
• Water damage: None
• Software updated: Yes, 2 days ago
• Line appeared: After charging, following the update
• Government registration: Registered with BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission) — legally approved for use in Bangladesh

━━ Purchase & Registration Context ━━
The device was not purchased from an official Samsung authorized retailer in Bangladesh. However, it is fully and legally registered with the BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission) — the government body that regulates and approves all mobile devices used in Bangladesh. This registration confirms the device is genuine, legitimate, and lawfully operating in the country.

BTRC registration is a mandatory government process in Bangladesh that verifies a device's IMEI and approves it for use on Bangladeshi networks. A BTRC-registered device is a legally recognized device in Bangladesh — we respectfully submit that this should be considered valid proof of the device's authenticity in place of a retailer invoice.

━━ What Happened ━━
1. The phone received a Samsung software update 2 days ago.
2. The phone was plugged in to charge as normal shortly after.
3. Upon returning, a green vertical line had appeared across the display.
4. The line has remained since and cannot be resolved through any software troubleshooting.

━━ Important Note ━━
I am aware that Samsung has a one-time free screen replacement program covering the S23 series for this exact AMOLED defect. I would like to know whether this program is accessible in Bangladesh and whether BTRC registration can be accepted as proof of eligibility in the absence of a retailer invoice.

━━ My Questions ━━
– Is the free one-time screen replacement program available for Galaxy S23 Ultra users in Bangladesh?
– Can BTRC registration (government-issued, IMEI-verified) be accepted as proof of device legitimacy in place of a purchase invoice?
– What documents should we bring to the Samsung service center in Bangladesh?
– If the service center refuses, what is the proper escalation process?
– If free repair is not possible, what is the estimated cost of an out-of-warranty display replacement in Bangladesh?

━━ Request to Samsung Support ━━
This device is BTRC-registered, legally approved by the Bangladesh government, has zero physical or water damage, and the green line appeared spontaneously following a Samsung software update — a defect Samsung has publicly acknowledged. Samsung has honoured free replacements for this issue across the S21, S22, and S23 series globally. We kindly request Samsung Bangladesh to extend the same support here and to accept BTRC registration as sufficient proof of the device's legitimacy. Please advise on the next steps.

Thank you.
