Need help. News on locked screen

Hello,

Not sure what happened over the weekend and did not have an update on my s23. On my locked screen, I have search bar now and news article instead of my sons' picture showing on my phone. When it's not in use and I press the power button, it comes on. The only to get rid of it is to unlock my phone.

Does anyone else have this problem? How do I remove it?

I'm sure if you go into display or wallpaper settings, you'll eventually find the culprit. I'm on the s22 ultra and am following because I'm likely next in line for the issue, lol. Try changing your wallpaper to what you had before and see if you notice any "new" options turned on or available. If that doesn't work, try going to settings and using the search feature at the top to search for "lock screen" and see if any of those results return fruitful. Best of luck! 💜

See if you have an app called Breaking News Brief. It showed up on mine this morning. I clicked one of the news articles to see the website (not recommended) then checking my installed apps, found the same name: Breaking News Brief

Out of curiosity, do you have White Noise Generator app installed? I'm always trying to find root cause.
