3 dots missing from app drawer search bar

My S24 ultra just updated to the vertical app drawer. However the 3 dots are not available in the search bar to revert back to horizontal pages. Is there a different work around? @LongHiker you seem to be very knowledgeable in the posts I have searched. Any insight?

How to clear device cache:

1) Turn off your device.

[Your device may need to be connected to a powered USB device (ex: computer) before proceeding to the next step.]

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

The device cache has been cleared, and there is not any change. Also, i just noticed not all of my installed apps are in my app drawer.

That's very strange. I hate to go straight to the nuclear option (factory reset), but it doesn't sound like the phone updated properly. When did you get One UI 7?

Overnight. Went to bed with phone on the charger working fine and woke up this morning to a dead phone. Plugged it back in and turned it on to the current situation. Is there not a way to uninstall the update and then reinstall?

Unfortunately not. I think your best bet is to back up all your data (to a computer, if possible) and perform a factory reset.

The three dots have likely disappeared from the app drawer search bar because you've clicked into the search bar itself; click an empty space on the search bar instead. If you're still missing them, try setting your "Home screen layout" to "Home and app screens" in your Home screen settings. You may need to manually rearrange your apps after switching back to a paged, horizontal scroll.

Hey,

I know this post was from a while ago but I just wanted to help someone else if I can.

1. Go to Google Chrome

2. Click on the 3 dots at the top of the page

3. Scroll down to settings

4. Then go to site settings

5. Then Data Stored

6. Delete all Data

This is what worked for me. I let my daughter play on my phone, and when she gave it back to me, my app drawer was all up and the 3 dots in the search bar were missing aswell. I could only scroll vertically. So she must have downloaded something from Google play that changed the settings on my phone somehow. I really hope this helps someone because it took me 2 days to figure it out.

Здравствуйте, если вы еще ищите ответ на свой вопрос. То вернуть горизонтальную прокрутки можно в настройках. Настройки ->приложения->на верху три точки->сбросить настройки.
