S24 Battery Drain Post-Update

I updated to one UI7 last night and now my battery while on idle is draining extremely fast.

Had I known this would be an issue I would have never updated to this crappy software.

This is a major issue and like I said I can notice the extreme battery drain while the phone is idle.

If Samsung doesn't fix this issue I will be filing a claim as to me this is now a defective item that they caused.

I got the update for my phone today and was glad to update it. Even though it is great within like 5 minutes the battery dropped from hundred to 89% really fast. Are anybody else facing the same issue. Are anybody else tweak their settings? I haven't changed any of my old settings from my previous UI 6 and it's all the same 100 to 90% before used to take like half an hour and now within 5 minutes it's dropped out

Maybe the phone drain that fast because you just updated it or could be a bug.

24 ultra battery dying

Since I got my update this morning my battery is dying significantly. It would be on about 30% right now and it is on 15%. I've never been able to see it draining and I see it draining.

You got an update, it's like getting a new phone. It will take a few days until it finishes updating everything and re-learning your usage patterns. Not to mention you are probably very busy playing with everything to find the new features and set everything up the way you want it.

It can be delayed due to your carrier or due to which phone you have

I thought it was just me. I went from. 100% to 92% so quickly. I will give it the benefit of the doubt I was messing around with stuff. I'll go off of my battery tomorrow since I know I'll be playing with it today finding stuff

You're not the only. Mine has been draining as well. I'm just going to let it marinate and see what happens.

Ok once it dropped to 85% connected back to the charger and got it to 100% and let stay for few more minutes..now seems like doing great. Been more than 15 mins just a 1% drop. Perhaps the new version algo needs to take some time.

This has been my experience as well within the first 24 hours. It'll be interesting to see if it lasts though. I had great battery life when I first got the S24 Ultra last year, but as updates came in the months following my battery life seemed to get worse

With any update, it is good to clear partician cache.
Google it. Easy to do and will help.
