When sending photos via Facebook messenger, comes out sideways?

Greetings, when I capture a photo and send it via Messenger, it comes out crooked even though I captured it with the right cell phone. It only happens with Messenger. I don't know much about this, could it be my cell phone or the Messenger application? Excuse me if you don't understand me well. I'm using a translator. Thanks in advance.

fix sideways photos in Facebook Messenger, disable Auto-Rotate on your phone's settings, then rotate the photo within Messenger or your phone's gallery before sending, as the issue often stems from incorrect image metadata or device orientation flags.

1. Turn off Auto-Rotate

On Android:

Go to your phone's Settings > Display and toggle Auto-rotate screen to Off.

On iPhone:

Swipe down from the top-right corner to open the Control Center and tap the Portrait Orientation Lock icon to ensure it's off (it will look like a padlock with a circular arrow).

2. Rotate the Photo

In Messenger:

After taking a picture, use the built-in editor in Messenger to rotate the image before sending it.

In your Gallery:

Open the photo in your phone's gallery app and use the edit function to rotate it to the correct orientation.

Mine started doing this , but my phone rotate is locked and all of my photos taken with me camera no matter the orientation are flipped on messenger and when I enable the rotate screen it gets even smaller. What is happening
