I switched from one s24 to another because the ui7 update had the phone acting weird and for legal reasons I cant do a factory reset. Somehow the problem that has caused several things made it to the new device and is not allowing things that were possible on the other phone to be done on this new one.

The problems are as follows:

Phone drops from the providers network making me not receieve calls but only discoverable if someone leaves a voicemail or I try to call and it wont work.

Sounds are acting like there are 2 sims but there is only 1 esim

Just because I choose an system option to be on or off it does not mean it is set to what I see. I.e. notifications as an example wont come through if on but will if it is off, but not consistantly.

A system update is trying to install and gives error 556. The phone was on strong wifi for days when started and only has 43% storage used. 556 is either a connection issue, a storage issue, or compatability. Since the first 2 were good I figured it had to be the third option but the samsung tech on the phone insisted since it was a samsung update to a samsing device that could not be it.

I am still discovering what else has followed the transfer.

My hopes is that someone has an option I can do to check what is the cause so we can treat the issue instead of following a reset script and clear everything. I have restrictions that do not allow a factory reset or clearing stuff that affects all apps or settings so this is not easy and I cannot hook it up to a computer either. Is there a way to actually figure out the glitch, corruption, or cause?

If it was all S24 devices not being able to install the update I would agree.

I highly doubt the server is sending just me the faulty update if it is the model and not the software, but thats something aamsung and verizon would have mentioned by now.

It means I get in legal troubles if I do a factory reset. The why is unrelated to the problem at hand. Just know a factory reset or doing a reset on all app settings is not an option.

Not likely the phone. Its more likely the app the courts are making you use and is causing compatibility issues or is causing the phone to act weird. Likely they have blocked things on your device as either a condition of your bond or sentence. My suggestion is to get yourself into even more trouble and get two phones, one you can do what you want on and the other for their monitoring.

That would make sense if they had not removed and undid what they do demonstrating it is not them. It gives that message even when it has none of that on there.

Lets try a rephrasing of what I am asking. How does a person chase this down to actually identify what is going wrong in a way the specific issue can be identified and whoever is responsible be it samsung, an app, or my carrier can then have the problem presented clearly as this is what we are fixing? Is that still a thing? I remember it used to be...

So update to this. One the 2nd warrantied phone. Not using smart switch solved the phone not updating. After the court software was put on then removed to allow the file transfer it now has dual ringtones and notification sounds again, despite me only using the esim. Also had the issue with getting a voicemail but not the call again. So anyone have any idea what settings may be doing this so I can let samsung, verizon, and the court software people know since all three seem to have no idea what is causing this? Samsung just remoted into the phone without the court software on there and had no idea.
