Battery swollen and support will not help

I found that the back of my phone was separating from my phone, and was told it is a swollen battery when I took it to ATT. I contacted Samsung after ATT said they could not do anything, and they confirmed it was dangerous to use, and said they would escalate the case and contact me back. That was Sunday. I called Monday, was told to wait 24 hours, called late Tuesday, told to wait, now it is Thursday, and I am still being told to wait, and now I have this hazardous phone sitting in my home and I'm stuck. I can't afford to pay to fix it, and, frankly, I shouldn't have to! It's not been dropped, has been in a case 24/7 and was in great condition until this! I'm don't know what to do at this point!

I doubt they will do anything. Batteries do go bad unfortunately. This is why I always sign up for care +

Since you have been unable to get through to support, I would recommend visiting a certified Samsung repair center in-person to have the issue repaired by a certified technician. Find one near you: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/

Be sure to call the repair center prior to arrival to ensure they are equipped to handle swollen batteries. Follow any instructions they give you regarding safe transportation. Do not attempt to mail the device as doing so is dangerous and illegal.

While I wouldn't expect it, it is not unheard of for Samsung to offer a one-time goodwill repair due to the safety hazard involved.

In most cases, if you have had the device more than 1 year, you will be ineligible for warranty repair and will be responsible for any costs related to the care of your device.

It is actually insured, copay was $275 double what the repair would be

If you have a CPR Store in you re area they replace Samsung batteries.
