Pretty good, so far better then 8.0 but i haven't fully tested, that takes 24 to 48 hours before ill give a final say of yay or nay but as of now, good.

I am in the US too. To me it still shows no Beta programs available.

Whats your model number of your device and whose your carrier?
U devices require t mobile whereas U1 device dont require carrier as they are factory unlocked and updates come from samsung, not a carrier like the U devices do.
I have a U1 device on att and T-Mobile satellite. But my updates come from samsung and not those carriers. Thats the difference, U devices are carrier Branded whether locked or unlocked, U1 devices are non-carrier unlocked from the samsung factory.

Mine is unlocked. Bought in India. Currently using Mint services.

Bought in india, not a US device with model U1. You are not eligible.

If the model name doesn't end in U1, you're not eligible. Look in settings > about phone.

You have an international model you can't join a US beta.
