Removing "Other files" from internal storage

In 128 GB of internal storage, I have 15.6 GB of "other files". In this, 5.85 GB is for "uncategorized" files, some of which are more than 2 years old

How to remove these files?

These files can be seen by
Settings -> Device care -> internal storage -> Show more -> Other files -> uncategorized

If you press and hold a finger against one of the files listed, you should have circular check boxes appear next to each file along an "All" checkbox near the top of the screen which will let you select all of the files listed for deletion. Once you have selected all of the files you want to delete, there will be a Delete button near the bottom of the screen.

I cant view mine. It says "invisible files" which i find ironic

Hey, there should be a check box or a toggle button that displays the hidden files. If Neilth response didn't help. Try taking a look at the directions below and let us know if it changed things for you.
Delete Hidden Files/Trash: Open My Files > three dots > Settings > Enable Show hidden system files. Then, locate and clear the Trash folder inside internal storage or specific app folders.
