Battery draining, phone hot after recent update

I charged it fully 35 minutes ago, its at 65% now. I've turned off everything. Turned on battery saver. Restarted. Ran a virus scan. Ran diagnostics. Nothing seems to cool it off. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas to fix it?

I looked more and it seems a lot of people have. No answers that I've seen so far. I even turned my phone off until it cooled and as soon as I turned it back on it was hot again.

Same here. Airplane mode seems to help, but who wants their phone in that all the time.

I thought I was the only one and trying to find resolutions, I found this. I'm loosing over 20% within and hour. I close all app, do the battery optimization stuff and the phone feels like its ready to burn a hole through my leg when it's in my pocket. I also can't screen shot or make calls without reseting the phone how bout you guys?

I'm not having any problems with screenshots but the recent update changed my power button into a Gemini help button. So I immediately changed it back. Maybe that's why?

This was me yesterday. I kept seeing everything point back to Know Matrix, so I force stopped it, uninstalled updates, and turned off auto update. Unfortunately, I can't completely delete it, and in fact, I can only find it as an app on my S24+ through the galaxy store.... talk about shady!! Anyway, today it's seemed back to normal, but since I'd done battery saver, optimizations, etc all first, I haven't reset any of that back to normal. So maybe Knox Matrix was it, or it's the 25 different things I did all combined. 🤷‍♀️

To force stop the application, you have to go to the app list under settings.

To uninstall updates and turn off auto update, you'll find it in the galaxy store.

Literally came to post about this same thing. My phone is also not wanting to charge! 6 hrs on charge and went from 28 to 40 with no screen time. 🤦🏿

I found the issue on my phone if you go into Apps you'll see Mobile Services crashing over and over. I cleared cache and data, but it still crashed. Edit: Never mind, still crash looping Mobile Services. Edit2: Open Apps and Mobile Services, then the ... top right menu and Uninstall Updates. Fixed it for me.

This definitely seems like what the problem is. My phone finally stayed charged and cooled down but I couldn't make or receive phone calls. I restarted and now its draining and hot again but I can make phone calls. I can see the app crashing when I go to my settings. I sent a recording with a report ticket, so hopefully they have an answer.

Open Mobile Services and uninstall updates under the ... menu. That fixed it for me.
