Facetime and Google Messages and iMessages are different things. Facetime does not go through a messaging app - it's a self-contained app. If you mean you can't live video message through a messaging app, I don't know of any that you can. Writing in complete sentences solves a lot of misunderstandings.

Not ngl of all the decisions Samsung has made by far this move is ridiculous I mean Google messages don't come close to be premium tbh Google messages just look like a concept Google messages ui looks like a concept visual then a premium messaging app that Samsung messages offered its just my opinion Google needs to step up and do better for they're Google messages although I do like the features and stuff but give us more customization options and the people know what im talking about no explanation needed

If you do a web or YouTube search you will find that customization features, among others, are coming to Google Messages (GM).

Switching is GM is one of the most sound decision that they have made in texting for several key reasons.

1. GM works across platforms (PC, laptop, tablet, phone, Mac, MacBook, and iPhone). Samsung Messages (SM) does not.

2. GM is RCS regardless of your carrier.

3. It is peer-to-peer encryption messaging.

4. GM allows high resolution images and videos.

5. Those that wish to take advantage if AI features can do so in GM.

6. Samsung can shift manpower and financial resources to more important Samsung features. Switching to GM saves them money.

7. GM is the most used messaging app that doesn't require the recipient to be on the same app. Which isn't true for apps like WhatsApp.
